Read more *NH Ag Literacy Day Celebrated March 17th , 2010 ![]() NH Commissioner of Agriculture Lorraine Merrill reading to the 5th grade class at Salisbury Elementary in honor of NH Ag Literacy Day. The book Sugarbush Spring was read statewide to classrooms by NHAITC and NH Farm Bureau volunteers and donated to the local school library. Each child received a bookmark telling them the unique and wonderful Ag facts about the county they live in. Read More *WOOLY WOOL SCIENCE UNIT AVAILABLE Aligned with NH Science Frameworks, this interactive six lesson inquiry based science unit for pre-k - 2nd grade, calls for students to use their five senses as they examine raw wool, learn about its insulating properties, and observe how it changes when washed, dried and dyed. Students can experience how spinning turns wool into yarn, and water turns wool into felt. The kit includes all materials needed for each lesson, books & video.
